OK - I know that nobody does this every week. Does anyone ? Most of us (myself included) have much more important things to worry about on a weekly basis than this mundane stuff but it is wise to check these items before long journeys if you have the time.

• Check engine oil level
• Check coolant level
• Check brake fluid level
• Check hydraulic fluid level
• Check washer reservoirs
• Check tyre pressures and the spare
